Shopify and PANTHEON ERP integration
The Shopify and PANTHEON ERP integration connects to the Shopify API. The business is run in PANTHEON, while sales happen on Shopify. PANTHEON sends products, prices and stock, and picks up store orders and turns them into orders or invoices.
What the integration does
The integration connects to the Shopify API and exchanges data in both directions. The exact way depends on the project, and in general it looks like this.
From PANTHEON to Shopify (push):
- products with SKU, name, price, promotional price, metadata and tags,
- categories,
- stock levels.
From Shopify to PANTHEON (pick-up):
- orders in a chosen status. Depending on the status, PANTHEON creates an order (with a firm stock reservation if needed) or an invoice,
- new customers go into the partner register.
Invoices are sent to the customer by e-mail automatically.
How often data is transferred
We agree the frequency per client. As a guide: items are updated in real time, stock is sent every 15 to 30 minutes, and orders are picked up roughly every 5 minutes.
What a project looks like
- Analysis: we agree which order statuses are picked up and what they create in PANTHEON (order, reservation or invoice).
- Set-up: we connect the store and map codes, categories and tax rates.
- Testing: we check the integration with test orders before going live.
- Go-live and monitoring: after switching to real data we watch the transfers and fix deviations.
Typical scope
- transferring orders from Shopify to PANTHEON,
- syncing products, prices and stock,
- creating customers in the partner register,
- sending the invoice to the customer,
- connecting to a courier service for dispatch.
We agree the exact scope based on your store.
No need to involve your developer
We build the whole integration, both sides: PANTHEON and the connection to Shopify. Your web developer does not have to program the data exchange, and we do not ask you to hire one. One team is responsible for the whole flow, from the webshop order to the invoice in PANTHEON, so responsibility is not passed between suppliers. If you have a developer who builds the look of the store, we work independently of them.
What you need
- a Shopify store with API access,
- a PANTHEON license and Datalab’s Connector license.
Example: what one order looks like
- Shopifyorder #10482
- PANTHEON ERP✓ document created
- GLSlabel printed
- Corvus Pay✓ payment matched

Frequently asked questions
Do we need a Shopify developer for the integration to work?
No. We build the integration end to end, on the PANTHEON side and on the Shopify connection side, so you do not have to hire a webshop developer. We only need access to your store's API.
Do we need a special Shopify plan for the integration?
Before we start we check your plan and store settings and agree how the API is accessed.
How often is data synchronised?
We agree it per client. Typically items are updated in real time, stock every 15 to 30 minutes, and orders are picked up roughly every 5 minutes.
What does PANTHEON do when an order arrives?
Depending on the order status in the store and the process we agree, PANTHEON creates an order (with a firm stock reservation where needed) or an invoice, which is sent to the customer by e-mail automatically.
Can the integration work with several Shopify stores?
We agree that in the project, based on the number of stores and how you manage them in PANTHEON.
