Barcode goods entry in PANTHEON

Barcode entry is a module for quickly creating a goods receipt in PANTHEON. You scan one item at a time or, if the box has its own barcode, the whole box at once, which makes receiving goods faster. The module recognises whether a barcode is for a single item or a multi-pack and enters the quantity.

Who it is for

Barcode entry is for companies that have large goods receipts and want to receive only scanned goods. It also suits receipts in which boxes have their own barcode, so goods can be received by the box.

The problem it solves

On large receipts, typing in codes and quantities by hand takes time and is the most common source of errors when receiving goods. With scanning, only what was really scanned is entered.

What you get

A receipt is created by scanning barcodes. Two ways are possible, depending on the goods:

  • item by item: each scanned barcode enters one piece,
  • whole-box barcode: if the box has its own (multi-pack) barcode, one scan enters the whole quantity in the box. This is the fastest way to receive goods.

The module recognises on its own whether the scanned barcode is single or multi-pack and enters the quantity accordingly.

Faster and with fewer errors

Scanning avoids manual entry of codes and quantities. A multi-pack barcode on a box enters the whole quantity with one scan.

How it is set up

A wizard is loaded into PANTHEON. Before use the following has to be defined:

  1. the barcode of the item and the barcode of the box, which must not change between receipts,
  2. for each item the logistics data: how many pieces are in one box.

What you need

PANTHEON. The wizard is loaded into it, and the items need to have barcodes and logistics data defined.

Connection to PANTHEON

The module works inside PANTHEON: a receipt is created by scanning, and the quantity is entered straight onto the receipt.

Price

The price is on request. All amounts are stated excl. VAT.

Frequently asked questions

Does the user have to choose whether a barcode is single or multi-pack?
