PANTHEON Web Service (API) — custom integrations
PANTHEON Web Service (PAWS) is Datalab's REST API for exchanging data with PANTHEON ERP. We use it to connect systems that have no ready-made integration: partners, items, orders, documents, stock and tasks. We set it up, secure it and, if needed, build the whole integration.
When to use the API
The API is the right choice when the system you are connecting has no ready-made PANTHEON integration, or when you are building your own application: a customer portal, a mobile field app or a link to a specialised tool. We also build our own solutions on PANTHEON Web Service, for example the B2B portal and the web portal for packing control.
What the API offers
The API is REST with JSON data, documented in Swagger (OpenAPI), where all methods are described: paws.datalab.eu. The main areas:
- Partners (subjects): retrieve, insert and update partners, including contacts.
- Items: retrieve all item data, insert, update, item picture and calculations.
- Orders: retrieve, insert and update an order and single lines, delete, create a document (e.g. an invoice) from an order, or a new order from an existing one.
- Stock and goods documents: retrieve, insert and update documents and lines (receipts, issues, transfers), document types and statuses, status change, and adding lines from other documents.
- Stock levels: current stock with filters (item, date, categories, price type).
- Tasks (ToDo): retrieve and create PANTHEON tasks and the related code lists.
- Calendars: create events in Google and Outlook calendars, also from a PANTHEON task.
- Database: run stored procedures, and select, insert, update and delete table data, for cases the ready-made methods do not cover.
Security and login
Every call is made by a logged-in PANTHEON user in the chosen database (company). Token or cookie login, session validation and switching the database are supported. We place the service behind an HTTPS connection and limit the API user’s permissions to what the integration needs. Access credentials never go into code or a repository, but are kept in configuration on the server.
What we do
- installing and securely setting up PANTHEON Web Service,
- developing the integration on the PANTHEON side,
- building the whole integration when you do not want to hire a developer,
- supporting your developer in using the API,
- monitoring and adapting to new PANTHEON versions.
Every external solution that connects automatically to the PANTHEON database needs Datalab’s Connector license.

Frequently asked questions
Where is PANTHEON Web Service installed?
Most often on your server next to the PANTHEON database, behind a secure HTTPS connection. We set up the installation, access and permissions.
How does a user log in to the API?
By logging in as a PANTHEON user and choosing the database (company). The API supports token or cookie login and session validation, and each call runs in the context of the logged-in user.
Can our developer use the PANTHEON API directly?
Yes. The API has public Swagger (OpenAPI) documentation, we set up and secure it, and we support your developer. If you would rather not hire a developer, we build the whole integration.
Can the API create orders and invoices?
Yes. Orders (header and single lines) are entered and changed through the API, and a document (e.g. an invoice) or a new order can be created from an order.
