## What the integration does

When goods are ready for dispatch, a shipment in GLS’s system is created from the document in PANTHEON. The address, parcels and cash on delivery amount are taken from the document. GLS returns the shipment number (ParcelId), which is saved in PANTHEON with the document.

- **Per document:** each shipment is tied to one document (delivery note, invoice or order).
- **Protection against sending twice:** before booking, we check whether the shipment for the document has already been sent.
