# Integrating your custom webshop with PANTHEON ERP

> We connect a custom-built webshop to PANTHEON ERP just like an off-the-shelf platform. ## How we connect a custom webshop

First we determine what your website already offers: a REST or GraphQL API, webhooks or file exports. Based on that, we choose the simplest reliable way to exchange data. On the PANTHEON side, we use [PANTHEON Web Service (API)](https://www.pantheon.hr/en/integrations/pantheon-api/) or a direct database connection.

The data exchange generally looks the same as with off-the-shelf platforms: PANTHEON sends items, prices and stock, and picks up webshop orders and turns them into orders or invoices.

## No need to involve your developer

Some solutions offer only an API, so the webshop developer has to build the whole connection alone. With us it is different: we build the integration, from PANTHEON to the data exchange, and one team is responsible for the whole flow from order to invoice. Your developer is involved only when the webshop needs a small change, and even then we give them clear instructions on the format.

### Do we need to hire our own developer?

No. We handle the integration logic, on the PANTHEON side and on the data exchange side. Your developer is needed only if the webshop itself needs a small change, for example a new endpoint for data exchange, and then we agree the format with them.

### What if our webshop has no API?

Then we exchange data through files (e.g. XML or CSV) on an agreed schedule, or agree a simple API with your developer.

### Can we work with our own web developer?

Of course. We agree on the data format, and your developer handles the webshop side while we handle the PANTHEON side.
